Kling 4.0 Credits, Downloads and Troubleshooting
What sets the cost of a Kling 4.0 video on kling4.run, when credits come back, where MP4s are saved, and fixes for upload and generation errors.
Kling 4.0 credits pay for every video you generate on kling4.run. Here's how the price is set, what happens when a job fails, where your videos are saved and how to fix common problems.
Credits belong to your kling4.run account and are separate from anything you hold with Kling AI. For the model itself, see What Is Kling 4.0?
How Kling 4.0 credits work
The figure marked ✦ beside the generate button is the exact cost at your current settings, so you always see the price before you commit. Once you're signed in, the generator also shows Credits required and your Remaining balance.
What changes the price
| Setting | Changes the cost? |
|---|---|
| Video length | Yes, longer costs more |
| Resolution | Yes, higher costs more |
| Aspect ratio | No |
| Prompt wording or length | No |
| Image, video or audio references | No |
To save credits, draft at a short length and a lower resolution, then spend more on the version you keep.
When credits are deducted
Credits leave your balance when the job starts. If your balance is too low, an Insufficient Credits dialog shows what you need and lets you buy more on the spot.
Packs or a subscription
The pricing page offers two options:
- One-time packs: pay once and the credits go straight to your balance. Good if you create in bursts.
- Monthly or annual plans: credits are added every month. Annual plans bill once a year but still add credits monthly.
Failed generations and returned credits
The generator shows why a job failed. What happens to your credits depends on timing:
- Error before the "Generation started" notice, such as a reference that couldn't upload: the job never began, so nothing was deducted.
- Failure after the job starts: if you've bought credits, the job's cost goes back into your balance on its own. Jobs refused for breaking content policies may not be refunded.
When the content filter blocks a request
A content filter message means the prompt or an uploaded image looked like a possible policy violation. Rephrase anything that could read as violent, sexual or otherwise sensitive, or swap the image. With several images attached, remove them one at a time to find the cause.
Where your videos are saved
If you stay on the page, the finished video plays in the generator with two buttons: Download saves an MP4, and Share opens your device's share sheet or copies the video link.
Every job is also listed in My Videos. Each card shows the prompt, date, status and credits used, with buttons to play, download or copy the link. My Videos opens with its filter set to Completed; switch it to All to include running and failed jobs, and press Refresh to update the list.
How long generation takes
Most videos are ready within a few minutes, typically two to five. References upload first when you press generate, so large clips add a little time. The progress percentage is an estimate, not a live measurement.
Once the "Generation started" message appears, the job runs in the background and you can close the tab. The generator won't reconnect to it after you leave or reload; find the result in My Videos.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Generate button says Sign in | You aren't signed in | Click it to sign in or create a free account |
| Upload rejected | Type, size, dimensions or shape outside the limits below | Read the uploader's message, then fix the file |
| Content filter message | The prompt or an image was flagged | Reword the prompt or use a different image |
| Generation failed | The job couldn't finish, or the service was busy | For heavy load, wait a few minutes; otherwise simplify the prompt or references and retry |
| Progress seems stuck, or "Failed to check status" | The percentage is an estimate, or your connection dropped; the job keeps running | In My Videos, switch the Completed filter to All. Still processing after about 30 minutes? Contact support |
| Result looks different from your reference | Images guide the look but aren't used as an exact first frame | Name the file (@image1) and say what to keep; use a sharp, well-lit image |
| @mention points to the wrong file | Removing a file renumbers later files of the same type; mentions already in the prompt keep old numbers | Check the @ list, then delete and re-insert the mention |
| Download doesn't start | The file is still being fetched, or the browser blocked it | Wait for "Downloading..." to clear, allow downloads for the site, or use My Videos |
| Need help | Something not covered here | Email support@kling4.run with your account email, the job's start time and the error text |
Reference file limits
| Type | Formats | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Images | JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, TIFF, GIF | Up to 30 MB, 300–6,000 px per side, width-to-height ratio 0.4–2.5 |
| Video clips | MP4, MOV | Up to 50 MB |
| Audio | WAV, MP3 | Up to 15 MB |
Clips and audio are also checked for length, and clips for resolution. Crop panoramas and scrolling screenshots, and convert HEIC photos to JPG. If a TIFF is rejected with "Could not read image dimensions," your browser can't open TIFF files; save it as PNG or JPG.
FAQ
Does downloading a video again use credits?
No. Credits pay for generation only. Replaying, downloading and sharing from My Videos is free.
Can I cancel a video after it starts?
No. There's no cancel option, and credits are deducted at the start, so check the settings and ✦ cost first.
Where can I check my balance?
The coin counter in the site header and the generator's Remaining line both show it. Each My Videos card lists that video's cost, and annual subscribers can see upcoming monthly credits on the Credits page in account settings.
